Second ‘Modi Express’ Flagged Off by Minister Nitesh Rane for Konkan Bound Devotees
Mumbai: To ensure a smooth and convenient journey for Konkan-bound devotees during the Grand Festival of Ganeshotsav, the second ‘Modi Express’ was flagged off on sunday under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Nitesh Rane. The special train departed for Konkan from Platform No. 14 at Dadar Railway Station. This follows the departure of the first ‘Modi Express’ earlier on September 11.
For the past 14 consecutive years, Minister Nitesh Rane has been organizing this special train service to assist people traveling to their hometowns in the Konkan region for Ganeshotsav. Amid the heavy rush for train reservations, high ticket demand, and inflated fares charged by private transport operators during the festive period, the ‘Modi Express’ offers major relief to commuters. Featuring free travel and reserved seating, the initiative ensures a safe, convenient, and hassle-free journey for Lord Ganesha devotees.

The atmosphere at Dadar station resonated with chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya” along with slogans praising Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, MP Narayan Rane, and Minister Nitesh Rane.
Expressing their gratitude, the devotees thanked Minister Nitesh Rane for his continuous service to the people of Konkan for 14 straight years.
