MUMBAI : The Ministry of Railways has officially announced the regularisation of the Jabalpur – Coimbatore Express (Train Numbers 20160 / 20159). Previously operating as special train services (02198/02197), these trains will now run via Konkan Railway as regular weekly express services, significantly benefiting passengers travelling between Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, and Kerala.
Below are the complete details regarding the train schedule, route, coach composition, and commercial stoppages.
Train Timings and Schedule
The express train will operate on a weekly basis with the following schedule:
- Train No. 20160 Jabalpur – Coimbatore Express: Departs from Jabalpur every Friday at 23:50 hrs and arrives at Coimbatore on Sunday at 14:30 hrs.
- Train No. 20159 Coimbatore – Jabalpur Express: Departs from Coimbatore every Monday at 17:05 hrs and arrives at Jabalpur on Wednesday at 08:45 hrs.
Stoppages : Narsinghpur, Gadarwara, Pipariya, Itarsi, Harda, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nasik Road, Panvel, Roha, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Byndoor Mookambika Road, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki, Mangaluru, Kasaragod, Kannur, Vadakara, Kozhikode Main, Tirur, Shoranur, Palakkad.
Coach Composition
The regularised Jabalpur-Coimbatore Express will run with a total of 24 coaches, ensuring ample accommodation across classes:
- AC First Class (WGFAC): 1 Coach
- AC 2-Tier (WGACCW): 2 Coaches
- AC 3-Tier (WGACCN): 6 Coaches
- Sleeper Class (WGSCN): 9 Coaches
- General Second Class (GS): 4 Coaches
- Luggage/Brake Van (GSLR/GSLRD): 2 Coaches
