Panvel, : Good news for air travelers! The Loknete D. B. Patil International Airport in Panvel, part of the Maval Lok Sabha constituency, is rapidly progressing towards its operational goals. This landmark airport is poised to become India’s first to feature inter-terminal connectivity, a game-changer for passenger convenience.
Shiv Sena MP Shrirang Barne announced that Terminal 1, with an annual capacity of two crore passengers, is slated to commence operations in September 2025. Initially, the airport will focus on inter-state flight services, paving the way for expanded air travel options in the region.

The accelerated pace of work at the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) signifies a significant step forward in enhancing connectivity and boosting the economic landscape of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Upon its full completion, NMIA is expected to drastically reduce the burden on the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) and serve as a crucial aviation hub for Western India.
