Ratnagiri/Mumbai: Another express train running on the Konkan Railway route from Ernakulam to Okha will be running in a new avatar from Friday, April 5, 2024.
Indian Railways has introduced new German technology LHB trains, replacing the traditional rake of trains running on various routes. According to this trend, many trains running on the Konkan Railway route are also being operated with LHB rakes.
As per the information received from the Rajkot zone of the railways, train number 16 337/16 338, which runs between Okha and Ernakulam, will now be operated using LH B technology from April 5, 2024.
When this train runs from Ernakulam to Okha, it will now be LH B from April 5, 2024, while on the return journey from Okha to Ernakulam, it will be LH B from April 8, 2024. Efforts have been made to make LH B category trains more comfortable and safer than the old traditional rake trains. According to the information given by the railways, a total of 22 LH B coaches will be available on this train.

This train, which departs from Ernakulam stops at Madgaon, Thivim, Kankavli, Ratnagiri, Mangaon, Panvel, Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Road, Boisar, Valsad, Navsari, Surat, Vadodara, etc., before reaching Okha Junction.
