Ratnagiri : The western Railway has added extra coaches to two special trains running on the Konkan Railway route due to the increased rush caused by the Holi festival.
As per the information provided by the Konkan Railway, an additional sleeper coach will be added to the Udhana- mangaluru special Express (09057) on 24th March 2024, and to the Mangalore to udhana special train (09058) on 25th March 2024.
Additionally, an extra sleeper coach will be added to the Madgaon to Ahmedabad special train (09411) on 27th March 2024, and the Ahmedabad to Madgaon train (09412) on 25th March 2024.
Due to the Holi festival celebrations in Konkan, there is currently a huge rush of passengers on all trains on this route. Some special trains for Holi have also been started. However, they are running packed. Adding extra coaches to trains running from Gujarat to Madgaon and up to Mangalore has provided some relief to railway passengers.
