In the state-level Taekwondo competition, Ratnagiri’s Swara Sakhalkar won a bronze medal

Ratnagiri : The Taekwondo competition at the state level was held with great enthusiasm at Balewadi Stadium in Pune from January 18 to 20. About 750 players from 32 districts participated in this competition. The event featured 28 categories, and players from Ratnagiri’s S R K Taekwondo Club, guided by their chief coach Shahrukh Sheikh, earned a bronze medal in this competition, achieving success under the leadership of player Swara Vikas Sakhalkar.

Swara, a student of R. B. Shirke school in Ratnagiri, currently in the fifth grade, has consistently showcased her achievements, bringing pride to the institution.

Vankateshwar Rao, the treasurer and district president of the Taekwondo Association of Maharashtra, along with Lakshman Kara, the secretary of Ratnagiri district, Shashank Ghadshi as the treasurer, Vishwadas Lokhande as the vice-president, and coaches Milind Bhagwat and Prashant Makwan congratulated Swara on her success and extended best wishes for her future endeavors.
