The Gandhidham Express, now electrified, is running on the Konkan Railway route for the first time today!

Ratnagiri : The Gandhidham Express, along with an electric engine, is now running on the Konkan Railway route. The first electrified train From Gandhidham to Nagercoil will operate on January 26.

Many express trains on the Konkan Railway route are now using electric engines. The electrification of the entire Konkan route has enabled these trains to run with electric engines. The Nagarkoil to GandhiDham Express (16336) is started on January 23, 2024, and after coupling with an electric engine, it will actually run on the Konkan Railway route from Wednesday, January 24.

The Gandhidham Express runs via Goa and Maharashtra, traversing stations like Madgaon, Sawantwadi, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Mangaon, Panvel, Bhiwandi Road, Vasai Road, and Boisar in Maharashtra before reaching Gandhidham Junction in Gujarat.
