Industrial visit to the renowned hotel Vivek by the students from the Skill Development Centre Ratnagiri

Ratnagiri, January17 : On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, students from the Government Polytechnic Institute’s Skill Development Center visited the renowned Hotel Vivek in Malanaka, Ratnagiri, as part of an industrial visit. During this visit, 60 students from various batches actively participated and gained firsthand experience of the day-to-day operations in roles such as Front Office Executive, Front Office Associate, Commis Chef, Assistant Chef, and Housekeeping Supervisor at the Skill Development Center.

The students received detailed information about each department, thanks to the educators at the Skill Development Center, who showcased all the divisions. The staff from different departments at Hotel Vivek explained how the reception, front office, restaurant, and back service departments functioned.

At the conclusion of the program, several students expressed their experiences, sharing insights gained during the visit. Hotel Vivek and the Skill Development Center were acknowledged for providing valuable information in this field.

Similarly, Mr. Mahesh Bedekar, the administrator of the Skill Development Center, conveyed gratitude for the availability of various opportunities in the industry, expressing confidence that the information shared during the industrial visit would be beneficial.

In attendance during this occasion were all students, the owners of Hotel Vivek, all staff members, the administrator/placement manager of the Skill Development Center, Mr. Mahesh Bedekar, and teaching staff including Mr. Amey Mulye, Mr. Rishikesh Mehendale, Mr. Rutwej Shiradkar, Mr. Srinivas Mane, Mr. Amit Dhatavkar, Ms. Amrita Salvi, and employee relations officer Ms. Ri
