Madgaon/ Ratnagiri : The Vasco-da-Gama – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express, which usually runs between Vasco and Delhi via Sangli-Miraj route, will be diverted to the Konkan Railway route due to the ongoing doubling work between Sangli and Miraj.
According to the information provided by Konkan Railways, train number 12780 will be diverted on the Konkan Railway route on January 17, 2024. This train will follow the route of Pune, Kalyan, Panvel, Roha, Ratnagiri, Madgaon. On January 18, 2024, train number 12779 will be diverted via Konkan Railway. This train will travel via Ratnagiri, Roha, Panvel, Kalyan, Pune Junction and after that on it’s reguler route towards Hazrat Nizamuddin.
This diversion is temporary and aims to facilitate the ongoing work of doubling the tracks between Sangli and Miraj. Stations like Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj, Kudachi, Raybag, Ghatprabha, Belgavi, Castle Rock, Kulem, and Sanvordem will not be served by the diverted train.
