The new MEMU train of Konkan Railway was first spotted at Roha station

Mumbai : The new MEMU train for Konkan Railways has been seen for the first time at Roha station near Mumbai. the passenger train currently running on diva to ratnagiri route is proposed to be replaced by MEMU train which is produced at the ICF Chennai factory. The newly dispatched memu train was spotted at Roha station in Raigarh.

According to the available information, the new MEMU train will take over the route from Diva to Ratnagiri, which is currently served by LHB category passenger train. The new MEMU train has been prepared at the ICF Chennai factory.

While the decision to operate the train directly from Mumbai to the Konkan Railway route via the Western Suburbs (Vasai Road) or on other route is yet to be taken by Railways.
