Konkan Railway to Run Chiplun-Diva MEMU Special Trains on June 28 to Clear Weekend Rush
Mumbai/Ratnagiri: In a major relief for commuters traveling between Mumbai and the Konkan region, Konkan Railway has announced the operation of unreserved MEMU special trains between Chiplun and Diva. As per the official press release dated June 23, 2026, these special trains are being introduced to clear the heavy weekend rush of passengers.
The special trains will run on Sunday, June 28, 2026.
Train Schedule and Timings
- Train No. 01160 (Chiplun – Diva MEMU Unreserved Special): The train will depart from Chiplun at 15:30 hrs on 28/06/2026 and will arrive at Diva at 23:10 hrs on the same day.
- Train No. 01159 (Diva – Chiplun MEMU Unreserved Special): The train will depart from Diva at 23:25 hrs on 28/06/2026 and will reach Chiplun at 06:30 hrs on the next day (Monday).
Key Halts & Train Composition
The special train will consist of 08 MEMU Coaches and will halt at major and minor stations along the route, including:
Anjani, Khed, Kalambani Budruk, Diwankhavati, Vinhere, Karanjadi, Sape Wamne, Veer, Goregaon Road, Mangaon, Indapur, Kolad, Roha, Nagothane, Kasu, Pen, Jite, Apta, Somatane, Panvel, Kalamboli, Taloja Panchand, and Nilaje stations.
