New Comfortable Buses Launched in Ratnagiri

Ratnagiri, India – In a move aimed at enhancing passenger comfort and convenience, the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India, has launched 22 new state-of-the-art buses. The launch, which coincided with International Women’s Day, saw the new buses being inaugurated by women, symbolizing empowerment and progress.


The inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Guardian Minister of Ratnagiri District, Dr. Uday Samant, who officially flagged off the new fleet. The introduction of these modern buses is expected to significantly improve the travel experience for residents of the district.


Additional Buses on the Way
To further augment the public transportation system, the district administration has announced plans to introduce another 30 new buses in the near future. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to providing safe, efficient, and comfortable travel options for its citizens.
Guardian Minister’s Perspective
Dr. Uday Samant, the Guardian Minister of Ratnagiri, emphasized the government’s dedication to enhancing public transport infrastructure. He highlighted the fact that these new buses are equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey for passengers.
Following the inauguration, Dr. Samant took a ride on one of the new buses, interacting with passengers and gathering feedback on the new service.
Regional Inaugurations
In separate events, the buses allocated to the Lanja and Rajapur depots were inaugurated by MLA Kiran Samant of the Rajapur-Lanja-Sakharpa constituency.
The launch events were attended by senior officials from the State Transport Corporation, employees, local public representatives, and a large number of passengers.
Bus Distribution
The distribution of the new buses across different depots in the district is as follows:

  • Dapoli Depot: 10 buses
  • Ratnagiri Depot: 5 buses
  • Lanja Depot: 3 buses
  • Rajapur Depot: 4 buses
