Fire Incident Near Ratnagiri Railway Station
Ratnagiri : Near the Ratnagiri railway station, a fire broke out in a hotel, and in the process of controlling it, Coast Guard Engineer Hardeep Singh risked his life to safely evacuate the guests, thereby averting a potential disaster. His brave act is being highly praised.
The incident occurred at Rajbhog Hotel, near Ratnagiri railway station, around 9 PM on Wednesday. Smoke and flames started emerging from the kitchen of the hotel. At the time, Indian Coast Guard personnel and their families were having a dinner gathering on the first floor of the hotel. Other guests were also dining there. The sudden appearance of smoke and flames caused panic among everyone present.
Mr. Hardeep Singh, who is serving as an engineer in the Indian Coast Guard, promptly used the hotel’s fire extinguisher to attempt to control the fire. He also called the fire department. He and other Coast Guard personnel safely evacuated all the guests. Meanwhile, the hotel furniture caught fire. However, the engineer Hardeep Singh managed to control the blaze with his brave efforts.
Mr. Hardeep is from Punjab and is serving as an engineer in the ship repair division at the Ratnagiri Coast Guard. He has been working in this location for the past three years. His courageous act in the face of the hotel fire has earned widespread praise. Due to his quick thinking, both lives and significant damage to the hotel were avoided.
