MUMBAI / NEW DELHI — In a major boost to connectivity along the Konkan belt, Indian Railways has officially approved a new daily Express train service connecting Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai to Sawantwadi Road in Sindhudurg district.
The new direct daily service will operate over a 510-kilometer route, dramatically enhancing regional mobility and tourism between the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and Southern Konkan.
