Three Major Trains Including Rajdhani Express Approved to Halt at Sawantwadi Road Statio

Sindhudurg : In a major boost to rail connectivity in the Konkan region, the Ministry of Railways has approved official halts for three major express trains at the Sawantwadi Road Railway Station.

​Union Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, confirmed this development in an official letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. The decision comes in response to a request made by CM Devendra Fadnavis on March 25, 2026, seeking additional train halts at Sawantwadi for public convenience.

List of Trains Approved for Halt at Sawantwadi Road:

​According to the official communication, the following premium and express trains will now have a scheduled stoppage at Sawantwadi Road:

  • Train No. 12133/12134: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) – Mangaluru Express
  • Train No. 12431/12432: Thiruvananthapuram Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express
  • Train No. 12201/12202: Lokmannya Tilak Terminus (LTT) – Thiruvananthapuram North (Kochuveli) Garib Rath Express
