NAGPUR: Indian Railways has achieved a major milestone in rail connectivity by linking three key regions: Vidarbha, Konkan, and Goa. Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari, flagged off the regularised service of Train 11203/11204 Nagpur–Madgaon Express. This new train service aims to make travel seamless, smooth, and hassle-free for commuters.
Sharing the update on social media, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed his delight, calling it “a new milestone in rail connectivity.”
A Major Relief for Passengers: Direct Vidarbha-Konkan-Goa Connectivity
Previously, passengers travelling from Nagpur to Goa or the Konkan region had to change trains at Mumbai or other major junctions. However, this new initiative by Central Railway will now offer passengers a direct and highly comfortable travel option.
- Boost to Tourism: Goa and Konkan are among the premier tourist destinations in Maharashtra and India. With direct access now available, tourism is expected to receive a massive boost as travellers from Vidarbha can head straight to Goa.
