Central Railway Announces 11 Special Trains for Konkan Ganesh Festival Devotees

RATNAGIRI : In a major relief for thousands of devotees heading to their native Konkan for Ganesh Chaturthi, Central Railway has announced 11 additional special trains. This comes shortly after Western Railway’s similar announcement, further boosting travel options for the festive season.


These Central Railway special services will operate on the Konkan Railway route, connecting major hubs like Mumbai, Pune, and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) to popular destinations such as Ratnagiri, Sawantwadi, Madgaon, and Chiplun.
Central Railway’s List of Announced Special ट्रेन्स :

  • 01151/52 – Mumbai CSMT – Sawantwadi – Mumbai (Daily): A daily service ensuring regular connectivity for devotees.
  • 01153/54 – Mumbai CSMT – Ratnagiri – Mumbai (Daily): Daily connectivity between Mumbai and Ratnagiri.
  • 01167/68 – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Sawantwadi – Mumbai (Daily): Another daily option from LTT to Sawantwadi.
  • 01171/72 – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Sawantwadi – Mumbai (Daily): Providing more daily capacity on the LTT-Sawantwadi route.
  • 01185/86 – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Madgaon – Mumbai (Weekly): A weekly service connecting LTT with Madgaon.
  • 01165/66 – Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Madgaon – Mumbai (Weekly): Another weekly option for Madgaon-bound travelers from LTT.
  • 01447/48 – Pune – Ratnagiri – Pune (Weekly): Weekly connectivity for Pune-based devotees to Ratnagiri.
