The newly constructed direct road to Machal, the highest point in Lanja taluka from sea level, has made it more convenient for tourists. The beauty of this place is enhanced during the monsoon season. Located to the east of Lanja taluka, the picturesque village of Machal has become an attractive destination for tourists. The natural beauty of this place captivates visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Machal village in Lanja taluka is known as the Mini Mahabaleshwar. This tourist village has a history of 400 years. The drizzling rain, the gentle breeze, the cool climate, lush greenery everywhere, the view of Vishalgad fort, the tall winding mountain ranges, the green Sahyadri hills, occasional glimpses of wildlife, cold water, sounds of animals and birds, the cave of Muchukunda Rishi, and unique large trees make this place enticing for tourists. As a result, Machal is gaining popularity among tourists. Vishalgad fort is just two kilometers away from this village. Machal is considered safe for monsoon tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The village has a long-standing culture, customs, and traditions. The traditional houses with thatched roofs that protect against rain and wind attract tourists. Now, locals provide accommodation and food arrangements for visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a drowning incident at the waterfall in Veravli in Lanja taluka, prohibition orders have been imposed on the famous Khoraninko waterfall and other waterfalls in Lanja taluka.
