MUMBAI \/ RATNAGIRI<\/strong> :  Central Railway and Konkan Railway are set to enhance connectivity between Mumbai and South Konkan with the launch of a new daily express train operating between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Sawantwadi Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u200bThe inaugural special run (Train No. 01001) will be flagged off virtually on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 12:45 PM by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in the presence of Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Minister Piyush Goyal via video conferencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • \u200bTravel Time:<\/strong> 13 hours and 15 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    \u200bThis inaugural trip will run as a one-way special service. Details regarding the return inaugural journey will be announced by Indian Railways shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u200bFollowing the inaugural run, the route will transition into a regular daily service under train numbers 15087 \/ 15088 (CSMT \u2013 Sawantwadi Road \u2013 CSMT Daily Express)<\/strong>.
