Khed, Ratnagiri: <\/strong>Raghuveer Ghat, a popular tourist destination and vital link between Ratnagiri and Satara districts, is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. After two recent landslide incidents, a section of the road in the ghat collapsed on Friday, though traffic currently remains open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Just hours after the debris from a previous landslide was cleared, a portion of the road in Raghuveer Ghat, connecting Satara district to Khed taluka, caved in on Friday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Given the ghat’s importance for tourism, the construction department needs to learn from past incidents and implement permanent measures by building protective barriers at dangerous spots in the ghat.”
