Mumbai :\u00a0 <\/strong>In a continued effort to strengthen ties with industry stakeholders and enhance operational efficiency, Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) successfully organized a Contractors and Suppliers Meet on August 6th, 2024, at the Executive Club, Konkan Rail Vihar, Seawoods, Navi Mumbai. This event marked a significant milestone in KRCL\u2019s ongoing commitment to fostering collaborative relationships and improving the tendering process. The meet witnessed the participation of around 100 key stakeholders, including contractors & suppliers, who play a vital role in the success of KRCL’s operations.<\/p>\n

<\/h4>\n

The meet was chaired by Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, Chairman and Managing Director of KRCL, along with Independent External Monitors (IEMs) Smt. Usha Chandrasekhar and Shri Devendra Kumar Sharma. Shri Arun Mehta, COS\/KRCL started the proceedings and welcomed all the delegates. The event aimed to build stronger partnerships, refine the tendering process, mitigate operational hardships, and bridge the gap between Konkan Railway and its vendors.<\/h4>\n

Throughout the day, participants engaged in a series of insightful presentations, interactive sessions, and productive discussions covering various critical aspects of the tendering process, including Goods, Works, and Services. Topics such as vendor registration, payment issues (especially related to GST), and new opportunities with KRCL were thoroughly explored. The meet also focused on the handholding of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with special attention to Women and SC\/ST entrepreneurs, reflecting KRCL\u2019s commitment to inclusive growth. Additionally, the discussion on scrap disposal provided a platform for vendors to understand and explore opportunities within this domain.<\/h4>\n

The event received overwhelming feedback, with participants praising the initiative and expressing eagerness for future collaborations. The success of this meet highlights KRCL’s dedication to transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement in its dealings with industry partners.<\/h4>\n
